Order the cheese curds and broccoli cheddar soup!!

Our food was SO good! The cheese curds were delicious and the ranch type dressing we chose was very good! My broccoli and cheddar soup was AMAZING! Everything was very good and the food came out promptly after ordering. We were too stuffed to enjoy ice cream.

Not Worth Going Out of Your Way For; Do Not Eat Here

I gave it a 2* rating only because it’s free. The guided tour has too many people for all to see & hear easily. The self- guided tour is fine, but we’ve been on much better factory tours. They do offer 4 small cheese samples. Take this, and go eat elsewhere. The two of us paid $48 for a lunch that was almost inedible, and we had to endure a crowded seating area similar to a school cafeteria. We chose items recommended on TripAdvisor. My husband’s cheeseburger was so-so. The fried cheese curds were mostly breading. I could taste cheese in only the largest ones. Most of them went into the trash. I took one bite of the pepperoni pizza, found it to be WAY too greasy, and brought the rest back to Salem to share with the homeless. Poor them!! Now the affogato (one of my favorite treats elsewhere) was even worse. The ice cream had ice crystals in it, and the rest was like a sad milkshake. Did not finish! Buyer beware! If you’re passing by, this would be a nice place to stretch your legs and look down on the cheese making process. I highly recommend NOT driving out of your way. Notice that it is the #31 attraction in the small town of Tillamook, OR.

    “Tour” was ok.

My husband and I came for the tour, though it felt more like a viewing area than a full walkthrough. You go up onto a platform and look through windows to watch how everything operates and is made. It was interesting, and definitely nice considering it’s free. I gave four stars mainly because the prices in the gift shop, especially the cheese, were quite high. Most items seemed to be about $5–$10 more than what you’d pay elsewhere. The food itself was decent.

    Waste of time!

We were here about 5 minutes. You walk in to eating places to the left and merchandise for sale to the right. You can go upstairs to see how things are made. We visited here years ago before the big remodel and it was so nice. I think the charm has been lost. It is so commercialized now. A tourist trap that I would not recommend.

    Fun stop

We made the stop on a recent trip and glad we did. We made a self guided tour and spent time watching cheese being made. Great for kids. Nice resturant on location.
