A bit disappointed, but that’s just me

I planned my itinerary for the day around stopping at the Tillamook creamery for a dinner & ice cream. I had hoped to just have the pizza, and according to their online ice cream menu, the Mountain Huckleberry. We arrived just last 5pm and went directly to order food, I was told no pizza because they turned the ovens off! They don’t close until 6! No luck there, I got in the ice cream line and no mountain huckleberry ice cream either!! They don’t allow samples so I thought I’d try the Marionberry pie. I can’t recommend that, I ended up having less than a quarter of it and through it out. Now, that all being said, I understand that everyone enjoys different tastes, and I had just really been craving pizza and that huckleberry ice cream! The self guided experience was good, the facility is nice and I’m sure if you go with no expectations, you’ll probably have a great time. I just wish that their online ice cream menu had been correct, and maybe specify that you turn the ovens off an hour before closing.

One of the Best Tourist and Local Attractions In Tillamook On The Oregon Coast Highway

It has been several years since I have been to this attraction but the building expansion they have done is well worth the money and effort. The Tillamook Creamery stil have the upper viewing rooms but have added a big dining area along with a ice cream store and restaurant. While we did not eat at the restaurant, we did get some ice cream which was delicious. They also have an extensive gift shop which you can spend a lot of money in and many items such as T-shirts were out of stock. It was a great experience made better by the improvements.

The Good and not so good…

First, the service here is really good. From the food staff, shelf stackers to the check out counter. Cheese-great Ice cream-great Now the food, the fish and chips were not to good. Definitely not fresh fish. Also the cheese curds were not that good. I’ve had better at Culver’s. Bottom line- stick to the ice cream and cheese and you’ll have a great experience!

    Entertaining tour and delicious meal!

Fabulous! We loved this activity with a solo tour of the production plant and a delicious meal of Tillamook grilled cheese and ice cream from their Creamery. The store with their cheese and boutique items was super cute (including free samples)! Highly recommend! Great for families and kids. Loved the history and how it's co-op run.

    Just a cheesy review

This was a fun and educational experience! Coming from a farm background I found it extra interesting to see the entire process of what happens after the milk leaves the farm. The self-guided tour was great for us as we were able to read and observe the process as long as we liked. The entire process is detailed out for you to follow along. There are also free cheese samples for you before leaving. Finally you are able to take in the enormous gift shop and large food court. While we didn’t stop and get any warm food, we did partake of some ice cream on the patio. It goes without saying how delicious it was!
